UCDA Debates Expose NUP’s Hypocrisy over Performance of Gov’t Institutions

For many years, the opposition has been alleging that no government institution is working, but surprisingly, they are saying that the Uganda Coffee Development Authority, UCDA, has performed to the maximum to the extent that they do not want it to be rationalized.

NUP and other opposition leaders now claim that UCDA has over the years outperformed its mother ministry by helping farmers and increasing exports by over 86 billion, which superseded its budget of 44 billion.

Parliament for the second time deferred the debate and final processing of the National Coffee Amendment Bill 2024, which seeks to revert the Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA) to its mother Ministry of Agriculture.

However, MPs, mostly from the opposition side, opposed the scrapping of UCDA; this is evidenced by a recent increase in the parliamentary.

NUP has all along been spreading propaganda that the government has killed all the institutions to get sympathy from the public.

Many people have been lied to by the opposition, and now they are the same people who have revealed the truth about how well the UCDA, a government institution, has performed.
They have been propagating that the roads, hospitals, and schools are in a poor state.

Our leaders in the opposition should learn to preach wine and take wine instead of preaching wine and drinking water. Based on the ruling NRM ideologies, Ugandans have come to know the truth about their monkey styles of leaders.
