President Museveni Holds Talks on Defense Cooperation and Diplomacy with Central African Republic’s Special Envoy

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni discussed defense cooperation and diplomacy with President Touadera’s special envoy, Claude Rameaux Bireau, the minister of National Defence and Army Reconstruction of the Central African Republic.

This was prompted by a special message from his counterpart, His Excellency Faustin Archangel Touadera, President of Central African Republic.

The message was delivered by Claude on Monday March 25, 2024 at State House, Entebbe.

During the meeting, they discussed mutual interests between Uganda and the Central African Republic, with a focus on defense cooperation and diplomacy, among other topics.

“I received a special message from His Excellency Faustin Archangel Touadera, President of the Central African Republic. I thank him for sending Mr. Claude Rameaux Bireau and his delegation. Our discussions focused mainly on defense cooperation, and diplomacy among others. I welcome them,” President Museveni posted on his official X handle.

Bireau conveyed warm greetings from President Touadera to President Museveni, the government and the people of Uganda.

In attendance were outgoing Defence Minister Vincent Bamulangaki Ssempijja and incoming Defence Minister Jacob Markson Oboth, as well as other senior officers and government officials.
