President Yoweri Museveni on Monday July 24, 2023, President Yoweri Museveni received a delegation from the Republic of Azerbaijan headed by H.E. Ulvi Mehdiyev, the Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The delegation presented the “ASAN” concept to President Museveni, which they seek to introduce to improve public service management in Uganda.

The agency aims at helping citizens easily access services using modern technologies, which are large-scale reforms in the field of public administration introduced 11 years ago by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Aliyev.

“We are already working on it, but I’m told that you are more advanced. So, we will be very happy to welcome that centre here. I will be very happy with Mr. Aliyev (the President of Azerbaijan) to lay the foundation stone for that centre,” said President Museveni.
