Uganda‘s music star, Daddy Andre, is set to perform in a live music concert dubbed ‘the Kigali Jazz Junction (KJJ)” on Friday, March 31 at Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village (KCEV) in Rwanda.

A source from Kigali confirmed that Daddy Andre would perform alongside other international stars, including Kenyan reggae and R&B legend Wyre and talented Rwandan vocalist Alyn Sano.

Axelle Umutesi, a communication consultant at the Kigali-based RG-Consult, said this will be the first time musicians Daddy Andre and Wyre are performing in the Kigali Jazz Junction concert.

Umutesi noted that there is so much anticipation from the artists given the hits they have recorded and scored in their respective countries over the years.

He added that the concert aims at promoting East African-based artists, considering the recent performances of various Nigerian artists in Kigali.

“Kigali Jazz Junction is all about live music, and we always look for artistes who can perform live music and entertain our audience. We have recently had performances from Burundi and Uganda, which is why we thought of another artist from East Africa and decided to bring Wyre. He has made hit songs in the past that people would love to see him perform, and moreover, for the first time in Rwanda,” said Umutesi.

Daddy Andre’s hit songs include ‘Tugende mu church’, ‘Sikikukweeka,” and ‘Umwana wa bandi,’ while for Wyre, ‘Nakupenda Pia’, ‘Sina Makosa,” and ‘Kingston Girl” are some of the songs that made him a household name in the region.

Revelers also look forward to watching Alyn Sano perform her hit songs like ‘Radio’, ‘Fake Gee’, ‘Boo and Bae, and Say Less, among others.
