Manchester City Starts Premier League Season With 3-0 Win Over Burnley
Manchester City beat newly promoted Burnley 3-0 at Turf Moor on Friday to start their Premier League title defence. Rodrigo and Erling Haaland scored twice as the champs thrashed their opponents.
Haaland scored in the 4th minute with a precise finish from close range after being set up in the box. The Norwegian striker added his score in the 36th minute with a precise finish into the far left corner. Rodrigo scored in the 70th minute to give the reigning champs the win.

City striker Erling Haaland, who scored a brace in the first half, says it’s always good to start with a win.
“I think we did well as a team and we just have to keep playing and teamwork was key and happy we got the three points,” Haaland said
Haaland added, “Burnley is not an easy team to play and they also had very many good chances but we were the luck ones to convert our opportunities into a well-deserved win.”
The Premier League resumes on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday with the late Manchester United game.
