Kyegegwa District Administration Block Commissioned by Prime Minister

Hon. Robinah Nabbanja on Sunday October 1, 2023, commissioned the newly constructed administration block for Kyegegwa district.

According to Nabbanja, Kyegegwa administration block is one of the nine district administration blocks that have been constructed through the Development Response to Displacement Impacts Project (DRDIP).

“It is one of the nine district administration blocks that have been constructed through the Development Response to Displacement Impacts Project which is implemented by the Office of the Prime Minister,” Nabbanja said.

Additionally, she said that the Central and Local Governments have contributed towards the construction of the administration.

“The Central and Local Governments contributed to the construction of this structure. Several schools and health institutions have had new facilities constructed and equipped through this project which is implemented in 15 districts,” she added.

Nabbanja congratulated the Kyegegwa district leadership on reaching this milestone.

She also launched the construction of the District Women’s Council office block.

The Kyegegwa district leaders have asked the Government and partners to consider developing and funding a second phase of the project to address other development needs.
