Excitement as Police Reunites Kidnapped Baby with Parent in Kampala

The police in Kampala have reunited a two-and-a-half-year-old baby girl who had been kidnapped with her parent.

The child identified as Era Ashaba was reportedly kidnapped during a Sunday church service from Kiganda zone in Kisenyi downtown, Kampala, on September 8, 2024.

Police detectives, with the aid of technology, including CCTV, tracked Ashaba’s suspected kidnapper up to her rented residence in Katwe, Makindye division, Kampala.

The suspect identified as Nalubiri Agnes was later arrested by the police.

Police on Wednesday, September 11th, 2024, reunited the child with her family. She was first subjected to a medical examination to ensure her well-being.

The father, Dickson Misiime, a transporter and resident of Busega, Kibumbiro zone in Kampala’s Rubaga Division, applauded the police for the swift response.
