Over the last 33 years, Uganda has been blessed with and maintained indubitable security, peace and stability at the fore front of the current government.

The hiccups in the social, economic, political and cultural dynamics Uganda has gone through so far are normal in a democracy in transition. It is therefore the duty of every peace-loving Ugandan to guard jealously, the ambiance, peace and tranquility enjoyed for 33 years of the NRM Government.

It is true that during the course of time, some government programmes have been mismanaged but undoubtedly, the long arm of the law is caughting up with the culprits behind the failed programmes. Lately, the State House anti corruption unit led by Lt. Col Edith Nakalema is weeding out government officials who are behaving like rebels by abusing public offices. On 5th April, the unit carried special investigations on cases of abuse of office among Post bank senior officials.

Peace and Security are the bedrock of patriotism in our country hence very key point for prosperity. The State has provided a firm ground for all sectors to flourish. The democracy exercised has given every Ugandan freedom and opportunity to develop as individuals, families, communities, regions and as a country at large. Foreign direct investments have blossomed in Uganda because of political, economic and social stability. It is our duty as Ugandans to keep and maintain this peaceful atmosphere by adhering to the laws of the land.

The peace and uncompromised security enjoyed by all Ugandans in a growing democracy like Uganda has however, come with many challenges. A wild section of the populace opposes Government on baseless views. Most half-baked chaps who call themselves Opposition have often put mediocrity and selfish interests before logic and it is for this reason that reality is yet to bring them to order.

The radicals whose objective is to defy to all government programmes, the idle youths who have shunned Government’s self help programmes to boost them out of poverty but prefer quick money, are engaging in donor-funded riots of looting innocent people’s businesses and burning car tyres in the middle of roads. These organized crimes are obviously championed by the inexperienced leaders who have formed unpopular blocs funded by capitalist super powers. Little known to them is that they are mere tools being used to perform crime for which they will solely pay when the long arm of the law eventually catches up with them.

Such criminality is why we have seen Uganda Police and its sister security agencies on ground to put the elements perpetrating crime to order through the law.

A section of Uganda’s wealth-seeking elites in their small cliques no longer feel for the people or their security as long as there is something in exchange. These rouge criminal groups comprising of affluence individuals are on a tease-test to tarnish the image of Government. The gangs that have masterminded organized crimes terrorizing the country are closely linked or used by these mafias. The good news is that all sister security organs are working by the clock as many have been brought to book.

Uganda’s Opposition, the little inexperienced donor-funded defiant groups and the outlaws should know there is no place for hooliganism, intolerance and incitement that culminates into breaking the law. All counter measures are fully in place and no activity by any one will be given room to sabotage peace and stability of the country.

The virtual cyber criminals who hide behind their computers and commit crime are full of mediocrity with no idea of how systems work. They incite, misinform and generally spread wrong information about Government programmes. They attack and defame leaders with no pinch of evidence yet expect to get away from the law, as they seek public sympathy.

A law abiding population is one step to a harmonized, unified and fast productive force that will see Uganda’s economy prosper to greater heights under the stewardship of her steadfast leader.
