Information reaching this website indicates that Barbra Itungo Kyagulanyi, known as Barbie, and Robert Kyagulanyi, aka Bobi Wine, have split after a bitter exchange and rising irreconcilable differences.

According to reports, the once blissful couple‘s relationship has crumbled beneath the weight of Barbra’s assertive character and Bobi Wine’s desire for his wife to stay out of politics and take care of the family.

The problems between the couple started on September 17, 2023, while in Canada, when Barbie gave an un-researched speech that caused a lot of backlash from NUP supporters living in the Diaspora and her husband, leaving him questioning her intentions.

According to Mutesa Robinson, a guest at the same hotel where the couple was residing, after that shameful speech, a bitter argument ensued between Bobi Wine and his wife, where they were heard in the corridors of the hotel throwing abusive sentiments towards each other.

“Bobi Wine asked the wife why she had embarrassed him and the party in that manner, questioning why she always imposes herself on everything he does, even after requesting her to stay home and take care of the family and let him handle politics,” said Mutesa.

Barbie, however, responded by asking why her husband hates it that she accompanies him, stating that she is aware of his extramarital affairs while on those trips and vowed not to stop following.

“The arguments intensified, forcing one of their bodyguards to knock on the door, reminding them that other people were listening,” Mutesa stated.

“Barbie stormed out so angry and went to a friend’s house, where she spent the night,” he added.

Bobi Wine’s PR team sent Barbie back to Uganda early to avoid further embarrassment. This is why she missed the South African convention, a source confirmed.

Sources state that the problems between the couple intensified when they travelled to the United States on October 17, 2023, but cut their trip short after failing to woo funders.

“Bobi Wine returned frustrated and emotionally drained, having failed to woo funders who were dissatisfied with Barbie’s speech in Canada. This intensified the fight, which made him call a family meeting upon their return to Uganda,” a source said.

During the family meeting, Barbie was accused of overstepping her boundaries, both at home and in NUP. She was accused of controlling party finances by force, being a mole of Rwandese origin, and trying to fail Bobi Wine’s political career.

“The family was so bitter with Barbie that even Bobi Wine’s sister, Cathy Namuleme, who is always on her side, said enough was enough and that Barbie should be chased out of the family,” a source stated.

However, Barbie retorted that she is doing her best to save her marriage by following her husband since every time he goes on trips, he ends up having extramarital affairs, and he has impregnated many of these girls, having several children outside their marital home.

“He has had three children during our time in marriage that I know of. He thinks I don’t know, but I know the kid he has in the UK and the two in Kulambiro,” Barbie stated.

However, according to sources, the family insisted that she’s ousted out of NUP, NUP finances, and if possible, the family.

Barbie’s involvement in politics, her being a suspected mole, and Bobi Wine’s infidelity have put a strain on the marriage, which many believe will culminate in permanent separation or even divorce.
