Bobi wine has been arrested as he attempted to use a different route from what is designated by the security and EC.
Following the arrest of Bobi wine shortly after he was nominated as a presidential candidate, the media has continued to show sides by not telling the truth of why Kyagulanyi was arrested.
Mapped Route
In a letter dated October 31, addressed to Bobi Wine, the police chief, John Martins Okoth Ochola, said they designed the traffic plan for his nomination.
According to the route chart, Bobi Wine was supposed travel from his home in Magere, pass via Kumbuzi along Gayaza road, then proceed through Ntinda, Kisaasi, Stretcher road, Spear Motors, Kyambogo University junction, to the nomination venue. And go back through the same route.
Attempt by Bobi to deviate from Route
After giving his nomination speech Kyagulanyi Ssentamu sat in his car and started setting off from Kyambogo grounds. A few metres off the, his motor arcade stopped and the police officer who was seated with him in the car was ordered to step out by the Bobi wine team. They did this by lying to him that they intended to do a live feed coverage where he needed to be out.
In an instant, when the police officer stepped out of the car, Bobi wine took the wheel of the car and attempted to drive to different direction. This attracted quick retaliation by the police to preventively arrest him and take him to his home.
The EC and Police had designated roads and routes for which the presidential Nominees are supposed to use to and from Kyambogo nomination grounds.
All candidates were priory informed that anyone who attempts to disobey these rules will attract aid from police which will come in to arrest and take to Kyambogo or home if the nomination is finished.
This is exactly what happened. Bobi wine had plans to pass via Kamwokya where masses were waiting for him to make rounds in town.
Police followed guidelines, which guidelines Bobi wine knew about. What is appalling is the insufficient knowledge depicted by the journalists who did not articulate these facts for the public. Which makes me think that its deliberate and the media is biased.
President Museveni followed the guideline and Bobi wine attempted to break them and yet continues to talk about rule of law and order, very ironical.
The media specifically NBS which I have been following for these events has proved intent to misinform the public or are insufficient in knowledge about basic things. This was witnessed yesterday when presidential nominee Katumba John was not nominated due un paid fees and attached that to failure to have a tin number since he was a student.  None of the journalists helped the public to know that a tin number can be applied for by any tax payer whether employed or not, whether in school or not. They left the public wondering why Katumba was blocked and instead made him an entertainment joke for themselves. That’s not fair.
Today’s arrest of Bobi wine and how the media has covered it without informing the public of the guidelines he was breaking, is a depiction that we have Journalists who love to report sensationally and not objectively.
