Attempts to Censure General Tumwiine Lack Substance

The committee on Human Rights of Parliament has released its report against Security Minister General Elly Tumwiine with which they intend to justify their efforts to censure the celebrated bush war General.

However, the latest report only confirms what has always been known to be the agenda and grudge that they hold against him for continuously shielding and defending security agencies against political attacks.

The MPs have ganged around the General like a hungry pack of vultures ready to pounce onto a vulnerable animal. They had earlier failed in their efforts to summon and ridicule Colonel Kaka Bagenda of ISO.

The Security Ministry has performed his role diligently and defended security organizations against the toxic parliamentarian gallery politics of this country.

The likes of Kasiano Wadri have benefited politically from framing the agencies with accusations of torture. Others like Africa Gabula are straight out convicts and former rebel leaders that have been set free by the crooked justice system.

The MPs are willing to sacrifice the security and safety of this country so as to score cheap political points.

Security agencies do indeed run gazetted interrogation and holding centers other than police stations. Therefore the conclusion of this report has delivered hot air as expected from such uneducated cohort of comedians and Drama actors.

All these detention centers are provided for in the law and the heads of security agencies have due mandate as stipulated in the constitution to hold suspects in these places to facilitate investigations.
