Kamwokya gang that attacked New Lubaga NUP offices confess to have been sent by Nyanzi and Rubongoya

Disguising as journalists, a gang led by leading suspect David Kirumira yesterday attacked NUP members in Lubaga, vandalising property and vehicles confessed to have been sent by Nyanzi Fred and Rubongoya.

According to Gideon Tugume the NUP Information Secretary, following a press conference that was Conducted by the Lubaga faction NUP leader Nkonge Kibalama, a gang which disguised as journalists attacked and caused damages worth Millions.

Police said that the gang was led by a one David Kirumira who was arrested in the process of fleeing.  Following Police interrogation, Kirumira confessed to have been working on orders from Lewis Rubongoya and Chairman Fred Nyanzi.

action which he blames for being goons and law breakers. He also said that Kyagulanyi Robert is not a transparent fellow and his methods of work cannot be tolerated, the reason the Lubaga offices were opened to distance themselves from the Kamwokya based NUP.

The Information Secretary of the Kibalama faction said that they are not scared or threatened by the attack from the Kamwokya based faction saying that the Law will take course. He revealed that the case was reported and is being handled by Police.

David Kirumira said he was sent by Lewis Rubongoya and Fred Nyazi after being questioned by Police.

Police acknowledged the case and said that investigations are under way to gather evidence to prosecute the suspects who include David Kirumira who was caught at the scene of crime and Lewis Rubonya and Fred Nyanzi who are prime suspects.
