People have spoken; the newly published opinion poll has put President Museveni on top of the 2021 Presidential bid for Uganda with over 47 percent of respondents stating that they will vote for Museveni.

The news from the News from the poll did not land well in the ears of the Musician Bobi Wine and has left him disgruntled after learning that only 22 Per cent of the respondents said they would vote placing him in a losing position.

He took on his face book page to express his dejection and as expected claimed that the opinion poll was sponsored by the President to favour him.  However, According to Dr. Patrick Wakida, the CEO of Research World International, participants were not asked to state the names of candidates.

Analysts have revealed that it’s evident that Bobi wine has no position in this race and therefore should consider consolidating his music career.

Uganda Governance Pulse, a new opinion poll conducted by Research World International, a local polling firm, on behalf of the Great Lakes Institute for Strategic Studies, a local think-tank, and the Independent Expert Peer Group of policy and public analysts. Fieldwork was conducted in the second week of March and ended just before the country was locked down to stop the spread of the coronavirus disease.

The Opinion poll results have come out at a time when the People power movement and its leaders are in a confusion state on how to move forward during the 2021 general elections.

This has been as a result of several issues as party leaders are colliding with Bobi wine over cross dealing and attempting to dupe their members into a new Political party National Unity Platform (NUP) clothed in a people power movement.

Evident confusion has already taken toll in the Woman Mp for Kampala where Dr. Stella Nyanzi who belongs to FDC vies for people power support and a one Shamim who claims to be a NUP member and too wants the endorsement of People power. Dr. Stella Nyanzi came out on Next radio and said that there is no way she will accept to let people power take a political party stunt.

A section of people in Uganda are also afraid of what Bobi’s leadership would look like give the fact that he is fronting half educated and disgruntled musicians for different political positions in the country.

Media houses have realized the fact that Bobi wine can only put up musical shows and entertain the masses but can’t lead in the position of President and as a result their reporting lately describes Bobi as ‘a presidential hopeful’  but not aspirant. He can only sing and hope.
