The government has mandated that all officials travel with Uganda Airlines.

According to the Cabinet, government personnel must fly with Uganda Airlines if the airline travels to the destination.

The Honourable Chris Baryomunsi, Minister for Information, Communications Technology, and National Guidance, stated this during a press conference on September 27, 2023, at the Uganda Media Center.

“The government officials will only not use Uganda Airlines in cases where the airlines does not have their destination as one of the routes,” Baryomunsi said.

He cautioned accounting officers in government, the Ministries, and all agencies and departments of government that they should comply with this directive.

This was agreed upon and passed by Cabinet on Monday, September 25, 2023.
