The Country Director, Nourelhuda Mohmmad, of Direct Aid Society (DAS), Handed over Ghusl (Full Ablution) facility, or bath, which involves cleansing a body from impurities, to the Muslim community of police Barracks Nsambya yesterday, July 16th, 2023.

Nourelhuda stated at the handover that the facility is a crucial component of the mosque, which the same organisation first built in 1995.

“The facility is an integral part of the mosque, and I urge the community to take good care of the facility,” Nourelhuda said.

Commissioner of Police Hajji Karungi Sulaiman, who represented the IGP, received the facility on behalf of the Muslim community in Uganda. The police expressed gratitude for the gesture made by DAS.

The Commissioner acknowledged that death is inevitable and that every individual will eventually experience it.

“The facility will be accessible to all, including the neighbouring community; it is important that we prepare our souls and beings at all times,” Sulaiman said.

Ghusl serves as a location where Muslims will perform the ritual of washing the deceased before burial.
