Col. Mutaawe Hands over Office to Col. Bagonza

Col. Ronald Mutaawe handed over the office of the Land Forces Director of Personnel and Administration to Col. Chris Bagonza on Thursday, May 18, 2023.

The ceremony that was presided over by Maj. Gen Jack Agoa Bakasumba, the Chief of Staff Land Forces of Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), was held at the Land Forces Headquarters in Bombo, Luweero District.

According to Maj Gen Bakasumba, Col Mutaawe is one of the Senior Officers that was selected to attend a strategic course of Intake two from 2023 to 2024 at the highest military training institution of National Defence College – Uganda (NDC-U).

Maj Gen Bakasumba thanked Col Mutaawe for being dedicated and outstanding in his work.

“Thanks for a job well done and l wish you well,” he said.

Maj. Gen Bakasumba welcomed Col. Bagonza as the new director and urged him to work harder.

In his speech, Col. Chris Bagonza, the new director, thanked President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who is also the Commander in Chief of UPDF, and the entire army leadership for expressing confidence in him.

Col. Godfery Mathias Abigaba, the Director of Logistics for Land Forces, Col. Yoab Yebazibwe, the Director of Auxiliary Forces, Col. Kevin Ejiet, and Lt. Col. Albert Kashakamba, the Director of Intelligence for Land Forces, were among those present at the event.
