President Rallies Small Business Owners to Form Savings Groups

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has rallied small business operators to form groups and embrace savings..

The president also extended financial support to 206 small business owners in the same area.

This was contained in a message delivered on his behalf by the Senior Presidential Advisor in Charge of Political Mobilization, Moses Byaruhanga, on Friday, while he met with over 200 small business owners in Kawempe Division, Kampala City.

Byaruhanga said the beneficiaries, who include charcoal sellers, chapati makers, and agricultural produce sellers among others, operate their businesses primarily on the roadsides and in the slums of Bwaise, Kazo, and Mbogo zones.

According to him, each of them received some one hundred thousand shillings to support their roadside businesses.

Byaruhanga was accompanied by Princess Pauline Nassolo and Ms. Flora Kabibi, among others.
