📌Ebola Virus was discovered in 1979 near River Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Since then, outbreaks have sporadically occurred in Africa. The natural reservoir host of Ebola viruses remains unknown. However, based on the nature of similar viruses, experts think the virus is animal-borne with bats being the most likely reservoir.

📌A joint Police and UPDF operation in Jinja North Division has Mr. James Mubi, the Kiira Region Police Spokesperson, stated that a joint Police and UPDF operation in areas Bugembe, Nakanyonyi, Katende, Wanyama, Budhumbuli East and West, and Walukuba led to arrest of at least 198 people over a number of offenses. He added that after screening the suspects, 61 were cautioned while 137 will be arraigned before Court.

📌Amlan Tumusiime, the Kikuube RDC ordered police to investigate two top Kyangwali Dairy Cooperative officials for allegedly misusing Ugx600 million on 7th November 2022. Tumusiime cited that the Diary Board Chairperson, Edward Tumwesigye and the cooperative General Manager, Julius Kwesiga allegedly misappropriated around Ugx600 million of the cooperative’s funds.

📌Government embarked on the campaign of vaccinating animals against Anthrax in Nyondo Sub County yesterday. The ongoing campaign is being spearheaded by the District Veterinary Officer. Anthrax is a disease transmitted from animals to humans and human beings can avoid anthrax by not eating animals that die suddenly since they normally have blood oozing from all body openings.
