The territorial police in Kamuli district have in custody a father identified as Kadumbula Ali for the aggravated defilement and incest of his twin daughters, aged 12, who are also primary pupils.

According to Fred Enanga, the Uganda police spokesperson, Kadumbula carried out incest on his twin daughters for about 6 months after direction from a witch doctor.

“He has been doing this since September up until November on the advice of a traditional healer to purposely gain wealth. He repeatedly defiled his twin daughters from their home in Kawolera Zone, Ndalike parish, Namwenda sub-county in Kamuli district. He is being processed on two counts of aggravated defilement and two counts of incest,” Enanga reported during the security presser.

In light of these crimes against such children, Enanga urged parents to be vigilant with schoolchildren during this holiday season.

Police continue to call upon parents to exhibit vigilance with the school children during this holiday. This arises out of some of the few incidents registered involving school children on holiday.

He noted how many cases, like the disappearance of children and drownings, have been reported.

“In old Kampala, police registered a case where two pupils strayed away, that is, Atuhirwe Vic aged 10 and Ninsima Gabie aged 8. They were left alone to go and fetch water on the 26th of last week, around 10 a.m., near their home in Kabuusu zone, Rubaga division, and they did not return till late. The search for them continues,” said Enanga.

Enanga shared several examples of crimes against children to show parents, guardians, and local leaders that children are vulnerable during this holiday, and we really need to give them attention.
