Why Trump’s Win is Bad News for NUP, Bobi Wine

In recent years, sanctions against Ugandan leaders by the US State Department have degenerated to the level of a village court presided over by a bunch of drunkards, whose verdict is concluded without substantial evidence.

Bobi Wine and other leaders of the opposition National Unity Platform-NUP Party had within the last years been on the smiling point whenever the US sanctioned leaders in Uganda under the watch of President Joe Biden, whose administration has been edged with Trump’s victory.

Donald Trump won the 2024 presidential elections and will be sworn in January 2025 as the 48th President of the United States.

In the history of America, Trump will be the second president to have managed to get elected for a second time after being defeated, the first one being Grover Cleveland (1837–1908), first elected in 1884, defeated in 1888, and elected again in 1892.

Unlike Biden and cronies, Trump’s priority is putting America first. Biden and his team had bad foreign policies of fighting proxy wars, destabilizing foreign countries in the guise of human rights protection, as well as suffocating economic development by funding protests against development projects in many countries in the name of climate change.

Donald Trump is also against homosexuality, legalizing abortion, and allowing illegal immigrants in America.

With the coming of President Trump, Bobi Wine-NUP and other opposition leaders have been receiving funds from the Biden administration to destabilize the country through violent protests disguised as freedom fighters and human rights defenders should brace for a tougher time ahead.

They have been funded to stage demonstrations against many economic development projects like oil and the EACOP disguising themselves as climate change activists.

Severally, these so-called NUP and opposition activists have stage-managed torture scenarios, and political persecution in pursuit of asylum and citizenship in America and other Western countries, should start preparing to vacate US land and return home to Uganda, home sweet home! to enjoy NRM’s achievements.

In Uganda, many officials have been interdicted by the Biden administration after fighting homosexuality as well as thwarting violent crimes meted out by Bobi Wine and his team. Such sanctions are always celebrated by the same opposition; this also has to scare them because it is coming to an end.

Time for the Uganda-America bilateral relations to shine again through shared interests of trade and security.

Bobi Wine and his team hypocritically congratulated Donald Trump, but the fact remains that it was not good news to their ears. Trump is a no-nonsense man who will not accept waste of taxpayers’ money on useless errands in Africa, leaving Americans impoverished.

Trump’s win is a blessing to all African countries that believe in humanity and its values. The era of hooliganism, violence, and indoctrination by the Bobi Wine group is nearing its end.

The end of opposition impunity is near. Congratulations, Trump.
