Ugandan Envoy to Kenya in Car Accident

Ugandan High Commissioner to Kenya Phoebe Otaala has been involved in a road accident along the busy Kimaet market on the Malaba – Bungoma highway as she was travelling from Uganda into the country.

The accident occurred after the vehicle Mitsubishi Pajero Registration number 85 CD rolled severally following a tyre burst.

Bungoma County commissioner Stephen Kihara confirmed to Explorers News, that the vehicle that was involved in the morning accident had three occupants.

“She sustained simple injuries on the left leg and rushed to Life Care Hospital by good Samaritans where she is receiving treatment as we await a flight to take her to Nairobi for specialized treatment,” said Kihara.

Otaala was heading to Kisumu International Airport to catch a flight to Nairobi.
