Uganda Airlines is set to host the 55th AFRAA Annual General Assembly and Summit event that will be held at Speke Resort Munyonyo from November 19th to 21st, 2023.
Uganda Airlines CEO, Jeniffer Bamuturaki, said this will be no ordinary general summit as it will be exciting and engaging, with many learnings drawn from industry developments. She also pledged to open its doors of hospitality, warmth, and service to the delegates of the 55th AFRR-AGA.
She pledged to focus on the four areas, including cutting the bureaucracy and red tape of regulatory regimes that impede intra-Africa connectivity, embarking on a journey to address issues and fragility points that the industry grapples with.
“We are energized and focused on the future of aviation, and with renewed enthusiasm and clear vision, we are ready to take flight and drive the growth and progress of our industry,” said Bamuturaki.
The Minister of Works and Transport, Hon. Gen. Katumba Wamala, while launching the 55th AFRAA-AGE, said the delegates will enjoy the beauty of nature by visiting our game parks, trekking gorillas, and immersing themselves in our culture, food, hospitality, and warmth that Uganda is known for, adding that the event will bring to life optimism in the aviation sector and justification to nurture the next generation.
He also mentioned that Uganda is set to be marked on a global stage as the event is expected to attract over 500 high profile delegates from the aviation industry in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North America.
The CEO of Uganda Airlines stated that the government is committed to assisting the airline in ensuring uninterrupted preparations and the alignment of all concerned sectors to ensure the event’s success and to provide assistance in hosting the event.
