The Uganda Cranes national football team is set to face South Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers in Morocco.
The Cranes will host South Sudan on October 11, 2024, at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole, for the first leg.
The return leg is scheduled for October 15, 2024, at Juba Stadium.
Uganda Cranes are in Group K with South Africa, Congo, and South Sudan.
On September 6, 2024, the Cranes played a very competitive game with Bafana Bafana of South Africa in a 2:2 draw in their opening quest for the 2025 AFCON campaign.
In their second game, the Cranes secured a 2:0 victory over Congo Brazzaville played at their home ground at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
The Uganda Cranes are currently topping Group K with 4 points; South Africa also has 4 points in second place; Congo is in third place with 3 points; and South Sudan is at the bottom of the table with zero points.
