Speaker Among Meets NRM Flag bearer for Omoro By-election

The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among has this afternoon met with Mr. Andrew Ojok Oulanyah the recently endorsed NRM flag bearer for Omoro County by-election in Omoro district.

Rt Hon Among says they discussed the development priorities of the area and how they can move forward to complete the works that “our brother Jacob (RIP) initiated in the District”.

Andrew Ojok seeks to replace his fallen father the former Speaker of Parliament late Rt Hon Jacob L’Okori Oulanyah.

The Omoro Constituency Parliamentary seat by-election will be held on 26th May 2022.

Andrew Ojok Oulanyah recently expressed his willingness to carry on with what his late father had started in Omoro.

Six party members expressed interest to fill the vacant seat following Oulanyah’s demise.

The aspirants included Omoro District Chairperson Douglas Peter Okello, Andrew Olal, Francis Rwotlonyo, Richard Bongowat Luganya, and Ben Acellam.

However, after meeting with the party national chairman in Rwakitura , Kiruhura district, other aspirants agreed to step down in favor of Ojok.
