Six Ugandan Swimmers Selected to Represent the Country at the 21st Edition in Qatar

A team of six Ugandans is set to represent Uganda at the 2024 World Aquatics Championships which will take place in Doha, Qatar from the 2nd to the 18th of February 2024.

Team Uganda is ready to take on its marks and dive into the Waters for the year 2024. The first assignment is the World Aquatic Championships that will happen in Doha, Qatar.

The team that will represent Uganda includes the country in the Middle East including three men and three ladies.

To represent the country in the Middle East siblings, Tendo Mukalazi and Kirabo Namutebi are the headline names in the team with a vast amount of experience under their belt. They are joined by Atuhaire Mbala and Swagiah Mubiru who will compete in the open water category.

Uganda’s best swimmers, Jesse Ssengozi and Gloria Muzito make the sixth on the team. The latter will be representing Uganda for the first time ever in an aquatics International Championship, Uganda will be coached by Uganda head coach Muzafaru Muwanguzi.
