President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is set to start the Parish Development Model (PDM) assessment tour and other government wealth creation initiatives in Ankole Sub-region.
The President confirmed this on his official X-handle on Monday, February 24, 2025.
“Fellow Ugandans and, especially the Bazzukulu, this week, our tour takes us to the Ankole sub-region to assess how PDM is performing and to promote our wealth creation message,” the President posted.
The President will also launch the Ankole Regional Zonal Industrial Hub in Muko Village, Muko Parish, Rushozi Sub County, Kashari South Constituency. The initiative is to foster industrial development and generate employment opportunities for local communities.
Ankole sub-region has 12 districts namely; Mbarara, Ntungamo, Kiruhura, Kazo, Ibanda, Isingiro, Rwampara, Mitooma, Sheema, Rubirizi, Buhweju, and Bushenyi.
The Ankole PDM tour concludes on Thursday, February 27, with a Public Rally at Mwizi Primary School Playground in Malebo I Cell, Mwizi Ward, Mwizi Kabula Town Council, Rwampara East Constituency in Rwampara District.
