Police Summons Three Dismissed KCCA Bosses

Police have summoned three former top bosses of the Kampala City Council Authority.

The officials, including the former Executive Director, KCCA Dorothy Kisaka, her deputy, and the director of public health and environment, were dismissed by the President recently.

Police spokesperson, Kituuma Rusoke, on Monday, while addressing the media, confirmed that the three will appear for interrogation by the detectives at the CID headquarters on Wednesday to record statements.

He said that the IGG’s report blamed the officials for severe oversight and negligence. The IGG also recommended crime management agencies investigate the matter further to have them prosecuted.

The trio’s trouble stemmed from the IGG’s report, which found them culpable over the Kiteeze landfill disaster that occurred on the 10th of August 2024.
