Police Releases a Statement on the Assassination of Head of Ndiga Clan Bbosa, Assailants Murdered by Mob

The Police statement on February 26, 2034, regarding the tragic assassination of Eng. Daniel Lwomwa Bbosa, the esteemed Head of the Ndiga Clan in Buganda Kingdom. Mr. Bbosa was gruesomely murdered by unidentified assailants while on a motorcycle on Sunday evening. The incident took place in the Kikandwa Zone of Lungujja Parish, Lubaga Division.

According to the official press statement released by ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, during the brutal attack, a courageous local resident bravely intervened, knocking down the assailants’ motorcycle and alerting the community. Swiftly, members of the community mobilized, resulting in a confrontation with the assailants. Mob justice ensued, leading to the death of one assailant at the scene, while the other remained in critical condition.

In relation to the ongoing investigation, the police have recovered the firearm and motorcycle believed to have been used by the assailants to carry out the assassination. The firearm, along with the motorcycle bearing registration number UEX 754E, will be crucial pieces of evidence in the case.

The tragic incident has evoked strong reactions from citizens on social media, with many condemning the act of violence and offering condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Bbosa, as well as to the King of Buganda Kingdom.

On the matter of improving security measures, Dr. Sarah Bireete emphasized the government’s responsibility to protect citizens and their property. She suggested the use of technology, such as digital number plates, to enhance security by enabling easy recognition and tracking of vehicles involved in criminal activities.

Prominent figures, including the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among, have expressed their condolences and called on the police to apprehend the culprits responsible for Mr. Bbosa’s assassination.

Eng. Daniel Lwomwa Bbosa, who served as the Head of the Ndiga clan for the past 16 years, was a highly respected figure in the Buganda Kingdom. Additionally, he held the position of esteemed director at Transa Electrical. His untimely death has left a void in the community he served diligently.
