Police at Kira Road are investigating circumstances under which a security guard of SGA Security Company, Mr. Achol, shot Adaca Sabina, also known as Alele Francis, a 36-year-old driver, with Khan Logistics accusing him of sleeping with his woman.

According to ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, the Deputy Public Relations Officer for Kampala Metropolitan Police, on the evening of April 10th, 2024, in Kyebando Kisalosalo Zone, Kawempe Division, and Kampala District, Adaca, the deceased, was allegedly intercepted by Achol, the security guard who is also a resident of the same area, and was shot around the chest.

“Adaca Sabina was shot around the chest/heart while on the phone, attempting to exit a corridor. The assailant fled the scene with the weapon, leaving Adaca Sabina in a pool of blood,” Owoyesigyere said.

Owoyesigire highlighted that Adaca had been in a marital affair with the security guard’s woman, though investigations are still ongoing.

“It has been alleged that Mr.Adaca Sabina was involved in extramarital affairs, which may have contributed to this unfortunate incident. However, it is imperative to allow the ongoing investigation by the authorities to uncover all relevant facts and motives surrounding this heinous crime,” he stated.

He further noted that the scene of the crime was promptly secured by law enforcement, where thorough documentation and the collection of evidence were conducted.

The body of the deceased was then transferred to the KCCA mortuary for a postmortem investigation, according to the police.

The police further assured the public that efforts are being made to ensure Achol is arrested.

“We assure the public that every effort is being made to apprehend the suspect and recover the weapon used in this senseless act of violence,” Oweyesigyire noted.

Consequently, police urged anyone with information related to the incident to come forward to aid the authorities in their investigation.

Last month in Rukungiri district, a security guard attached to Millennium Security Company was arrested for shooting a 22-year-old man dead after he had ordered him to sit down and the victim stayed standing.

This is among the many incidents involving security guards mishandling their fire arms.
