Police in Gomba district are investigating circumstances under which a 35-year-old man was hacked to death by unidentified killers.

This gruesome incident happened on May 14, 2024, at night in Kisubi village in Gomba district.

The deceased has been identified as Mark Kirumira, a resident of Kisubi village in Gombe district.

While being interviewed by journalists on May 15, 2024, Silver Ngoma, the deceased’s uncle, said that he last spoke to his nephew the night before, but when he woke in the morning on May 15, 2024, he was hit with the bad news that Kirumira was hacked to death and his body was dumped on the veranda of his house.

Ngoma also said that it was weird that nothing was stolen from Kirumira’s house, hence showing that their intention was to take his life.

“It is sad that Kirumira’s wife died in 2023 and left behind a kid who is soon going to make a year this year, but unfortunately now the kid is a total orphan because his dad is also dead,” Ngoma revealed.

Ngooma further called upon the police to investigate and catch the killers who had committed such an appalling act that left even the locals in fear.

He also called upon the government to put harsh punishments on people who commit such hard-core crimes because they leave many families in a lot of pain due to such disheartening crimes.
