The Territorial Police at Katwe is actively investigating an incident involving malicious damage to a motor vehicle and shootings.

In a statement realised by police on November 8, 2023, Luke Owoyesigyire, the deputy spokesperson of police, stated that the incident occurred on November 7, 2023, at 6:00 PM, within the Kirudu zone, Luwafu Parish, Makindye Division, in Kampala, at a car washing facility owned by Mr. Andrew Mukasa, commonly known as Bajjo.

According to Owoyesigyire, the assailants, led by Muscian Mugwanya Patrick, alias “Alien Skin,” allegedly attempted to assault Bajjo.

“A confrontation arose between the security guard, Mr. Okalebo Vincent, from Caltec Security Company, and Alien Skin’s group, which resulted in the guard discharging his firearm, causing damage to the vehicle,” Owoyesigyire stated.

Owoyesigyire stated that, fortunately, Bajjo was able to defend himself using pepper spray, and during their escape, his car was damaged in a collision.

“The distressing incident involving malicious damage to motor vehicle No. UBK 123C, owned by Bajjo,” he said.

The police have taken action, arresting one individual, Mr. Ibra Kabadia, and the security guard as part of an ongoing investigation.

Owoyesigyire said that Alien Skin managed to evade capture during the police intervention, but the police are actively pursuing his arrest, as well as the apprehension of his associates, to hold them accountable for the damage they caused to the vehicles.

“Further details on this matter are under investigation, and we will continue to provide updates as they become available,” Owoyesigyire stated.

The police have urged Alien Skin and his associates to refrain from using violence.
