Police have arrested over 41 suspected burglars following their arrest from Katwe, a Kampala suburb.

Kituuma Rusoke, the police spokesperson, while addressing the weekly security media briefing at the police headquarters in Naguru on Monday, September 23, 2024, said the suspects were arrested during an intelligence-led operation.

He said the gang had allegedly terrorized residents of Kibira B Zone Masaja, Makindye, and Sabagabo on September 17, 2024.

“In possession, they had the knives, breaking wires, hammers, and many assorted items to assist in burglary offenses,” Rusoke said.

The suspects were later screened and charged accordingly.
