Police Spokesperson, SCP Fred Enanga, during a press release at the Police Headquarters in Kampala, July 11, 2023, revealed that the gruesome murder that took place in Bukomba village, Nakikooda Parish in Luwero, on the night of July 5, 2023, was carried out by the family head, Mzee Musisi Stephen, a 68-year-old.

According to Enanga, Musisi hacked the three family members to death, injuring two, and later committed suicide by hanging after having unresolved ongoing domestic conflicts with his wife, Aisha Nagayi, for having produced two children outside their marriage.

“As you are all aware, the territorial police of Savannah and Luwero registered a gruesome murder of three family members, critically injured two others, and a suicide by hanging of a jilted head of family. The facts gathered indicate that Musisi had a conflict with his wife Nagayi over producing two children outside marriage,” said Enanga.

Police reported that on the night of July 5, 2023, three members of the family were hacked to death, two were critically injured, and one died by hanging,

“The victims are a wife, Aisha Nagayi, mother of four children, Esther Namiiro 9, Mutebi Jonathan 1, who were killed, Carol Namutebi 5, and Cathy Namuddu, who had been inflicted grave injuries by Musisi, who were found in different beds, and later killed himself by hanging,” reported territorial police at Savannah.

Enanga strongly condemned and warned the public against such acts of brutality, the suspect was predominant with jealousy over his stepchildren. Parents and guardians, including half parents, should stop viewing children as their path to possession.

The young children’s right to life was absolutely violated and ended. We encourage parents in toxic relationships to always seek help from the family protection unit, LC, and probation office and get the necessary help.
