Kyagulanyi’s UK Trip Marred by Allegations of Secret US Family appointment

Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, has ignited a firestorm of dispute following his trip to the United Kingdom, initially framed as a crucial political engagement to strategize for the 2026 presidential elections.

Allegations have surfaced, suggesting the trip was a cover for a clandestine visit to the United States, purportedly to see the newborn child and the mother.

Just days after reports of the birth of a baby boy surfaced with his side chick Sharita Nabbosa, Kyagulanyi departed for the UK on April 6, 2025, sparking immediate speculation.

Sources close to the family, speaking on condition of anonymity, claim the UK journey is a diversion, with the primary objective being a secret detour to the US.

Adding fuel to the fire, Kyagulanyi’s brother, Fred Nyanzi Ssentamu, during an evening out with colleagues shared how Bobi Wine was delighted with the arrival of his son born in the US with his lover.

“Bobi Wine could not travel to the US directly to check on his son, it would cause a lot of backfire for him with his wife Babra Kyagualnyi, so a the tour to the UK was created alongside Joel Ssenyonyi and Lewis Rubongoya in the pretext of strategizing for 2026 general elections,” Nyanzi was heard telling his colleagues.

Sharon Kemigisha LC 111 Wandegeya has however, blamed Bobi Wine for failing to concentrate to strategize locally but rather running off to the UK and US and leaving his supporters behind.

“All those whites he runs too are they going to vote him. Instead of Bobi Wine concentrating on elections in Uganda, he is busy making unnecessary travels,” Kemigisha added.

She further expressed her bewilderment at her party leader’s alleged actions, particularly given the critical juncture in the political landscape.

“I am wondering why he never learns from his past mistakes. This is the period for campaigns, not for fun,” she added.

The claims have also sparked a debate about his priorities, with some questioning whether his personal life is overshadowing his political ambitions and questioning his focus on the campaign at such a crucial time.

As the political landscape in Uganda continues to heat up, Kyagulanyi’s every move will be scrutinized, and the coming months will be crucial in determining whether he can navigate the complex interplay of his personal and political lives.
