KIDEPO NATIONAL PARK: A World Where Magnificent Scenery And Wild Wilderness Coexist

Kidepo Valley National Park commonly known as the true African wilderness, is located in north-eastern Uganda in the Karamoja region close to the borders of South Sudan and Kenya.

Usually called Uganda’s hidden gem, Kidepo Valley National Park is Uganda’s most open and least explored national park. It is the third biggest National park and home to some of the animals that cannot be seen elsewhere in other existing National parks of Uganda.

In a move to ease transport means to this National Park, President Museveni on Wednesday, November 9, 2023, met a delegation from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry at State House Entebbe to discuss the construction of a 3,500-meter runway airport in Kidepo Valley National Park.

While he approved the project, he stressed the need to safeguard the park’s wildlife. This will ease the transport means and bring more tourists to this hidden gem of Uganda.
