Omar says that whenever President Museveni is on television conducting a live address, the majority of Kenyans rush to watch him so that they can learn something from him.

He was meeting with National Resistance Movement (NRM) Secretary General, Richard Todwong. The two leaders discussed areas of cooperation between the two parties, including exchange programs, focusing on strengthening political parties across East Africa and Africa.

“The majority of Kenyans largely embrace the values, inspirations, and ideological positions usually expounded by His Excellency President Museveni. And in Kenya, whenever President Museveni goes live on television, you find everybody watching, and they refer to him as an inspiring leader in the region,” Omar said.

The two leaders focused on the development of Pan-Africanism and unity as they forging ties between NRM and UDA.

This is not the first time Kenyans are referring to President Museveni as the father of the region.
