Kakiri: Traffic Police Officer Tragically Dies, Another Seriously Injured In an Accident

Police in Kakiri are investigating circumstances under which a fatal accident that claimed the life of a Traffic Police officer and left another one seriously injured occurred.

According to the Traffic Police at Kakiri Police Station, the deceased officer was identified as PC Sulah Kadede, while PC Dramviku survived with serious injuries.

Police said that the incident occurred on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at around 9:40pm along the Kampala-Hoima road at Busaku village, Namayumba Town Council in Wakiso District.

The Police added that PC Kadede together with his colleague PC Dramviku responded to a particular minor accident involving motor vehicle Reg. no. UAV 727G (Toyota Mark II Grande) and guard rails at the same village.

“As the above motor vehicle was being loaded on the breakdown, motor vehicle Reg. no. UAQ 541P (Toyota Spacio) from Kampala side rammed into them, killing PC Kadede on spot and seriously injuring PC Dramviku and the driver of the breakdown,” Police stated.

This is the second Traffic Police officer to be knocked dead by a vehicle on the same day. On Thursday morning December 15, 2022, a Traffic Police Officer was knocked dead by an Internal Affairs Ministry vehicle at Adwila along Lira-Soroti highway.
