A shortage of gun oil in North London is affecting Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League title for the first time in two decades. The Gunners now sit nine points behind league leaders Liverpool FC.

Arsenal faced a disappointing 1-1 draw against their rivals Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on November 10, 2024. This result leaves both teams tied at 19 points and in the top four as they head into the international break.

Manager Mikel Arteta’s team struggled during the match, appearing out of sync and inefficient. Their offensive players missed crucial opportunities to score, resembling a malfunctioning weapon that cannot hit its target. The team lacked the sharpness and determination needed to secure a win.

After the game, Arteta expressed concern over injuries to key players Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice. He said their inability to continue during the match is troubling.

“It doesn’t look good because for two players of that importance to tell you they cannot continue in the game, obviously it’s not good news,” Arteta stated in his post-match press conference.

This draw marks Arsenal’s continued winless streak, extending to five games in the last seven. Fans are left frustrated as hopes for a league title this season diminish, especially after Arsenal pushed Manchester City closely in the previous two seasons. It appears they may have to wait until next season for a real chance at the trophy.
