The high court has set July 2, 2024, to begin the hearing of murder charges against Molly Katanga and her two daughters in the murder of their father, husband, Henry Katanga.

Justice Isaac Muwata met with Katanga’s lawyers and the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in a closed-door meeting on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, to discuss the Katamga case hearing.

However, the same justice has set April 3, 2024, for the hearing of her bail application because Molly Katanga is held on remand at Luzira Women’s Prison.

His daughters, Patricia Kakwanzi and Martha Nkwazi, are accused of destroying valuable evidence that the prosecution would use to prove their father’s murder, along with the family’s shamba boy, George Amanyire, and a male nurse. Mr Charles Otai is charged with being a witness to the murder. The four were bailed out in February.

On November 2, 2023, businessman Henry Katanga was reportedly shot dead by his wife at their family home on Chwa II Road in Kampala Nakawa Division.
