The leadership of the opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) is in trouble after they allegedly misled and incited the public regarding the health and well-being of the Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II.

The Kabaka of Uganda being received by PM Mayiga upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport.

The Kingdom leader returned from Namibia looking healthy and stronger on Monday, July 22nd, 2024 at 12:40 am.

According to a reliable source at Mengo Bulange, Kabaka Mutebi II expressed bitterness and dissatisfaction in the manner in which how leaders of the NUP led by Bobi Wine misled the public about his sickness.

Kabaka has also vehemently refuted and trashed NUP’s claim that he had been kidnapped by the government and was being held hostage by the Namibian government.

His subjects confirmed that upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, the Kingdom leader looked vibrantly healthier and stronger with endless smiles.

“His appearance is greater, and his movements are so energetic, dispelling earlier claims made by NUP that suggested otherwise,” noted the eyewitness.

Charles Peter Mayiga, the Prime Minister of Buganda (Katikiro), confirmed that Kabaka will, at an appropriate moment, address his subjects soon.

He called for calmness among his subjects, both in Uganda and in diasporas, and warned political actors against misleading the community.

“The Kabaka’s health and well-being remain a priority for us all; let us respect his decision to rest and not spread gossip for political gain, like it has been while he was in Namibia,” Mayiga said.

However, several subjects have expressed concern and demanded that NUP and its President, Robert Kyagulanyi, aka Bobi Wine, retract his previous utterance in which he had enormously accused top Buganda officials.

In his utterance, Kyagulanyi accused the Katikiro Mayiga of connivance with the Nabagereka to poison Kabaka.

Bobi Wine on several occasions told Buganda subjects to demand for their King whether dead or alive; these statements angered most Baganda after seeing Kabaka’s pictures showing his arrival at the airport and being received by Mama Nabagereka and Katikiro in a jovial mood.
