Last week this publication revealed how Robert Kyagulanyi, aka Bobi Wine, the leader of the opposition National Unity Platform, NUP, had imposed his long-time girlfriend, Mukankwaya Sultan Tana, as the party’s flagbearer in the Kisoro district by-election.
Now, the latest is that Barbie Itungo, the wife of Kyagulanyi, who now lives in the United States with her children, has long been battling a distressful moment arising from the husband’s endless sexual affairs with several ladies both in Uganda and in foreign countries.
The source revealed that Barbie is currently battling mental and psychological anguish courtesy of Kyagulanyi’s adulterous behavior and that her condition has been kept confidential for close to six months within a few family members and Kyagulanyi’s close friends.
Barbie is being attended to by the best psychiatrists at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, located in Baltimore, Maryland, United States.
Barbie also recently confided in one of her favorite aunties from Ntungamo district how her marriage turned into a daily bed of thorns from the time Kyagulanyi entered active politics.
According to the source, Barbie told her auntie how she is considering quitting claiming Kyagulanyi’s bad manners have become unbearable for the past five years.
“I am completely amazed by how time spent alone rejuvenates, heals, and renews me. I don’t know if I won’t have to be reminded that there is another type of company out there. You need to experience it to understand what I am saying,” Barbie posted on X.
Her public outburst follows Kyagulanyi’s recent decision to front his alleged girlfriend Mukankwaya Salim Tana as the NUP flagbearer for the upcoming Kisoro Woman MP by-election. It is said that Tana and Kyagulanyi have been bonking for close to five years, and she was recognized by family members and close friends as the official second wife.
It’s alleged that Barbie is being segregated by her husband’s family members as well as close Baganda friends on grounds of her Rwandan origin, something that is possibly forcing Kyagulanyi to find comfort elsewhere.
Kyagulanyi, on several occasions, has been accused of bad manners and using money and fame influence to abuse desperate ladies, especially female supporters who seek party tickets before contesting for any leadership position.
This was very common during the 2021 general elections, as most desperate youths sought favors and political endorsement from the ghetto gladiator.
