Kamuli District NUP Coordinator and NUP Youth leader Moses Bigirwa has cried out to Party President Robert Kyagulanyi to intervene in his predicament after he was unceremoniously thrown out of his marital home by his Wife.
Bigirwa who has been living in Kamuli since the just concluded general elections accused his wife of infidelity and had thus lost moral grounds to occupy their marital home.
The matter was however referred to the area local council where the two could have been reconciled but the People Power stalwart turned violent accusing the wife of being funded by State operatives to fight him.
Bigirwa has now begged his Party President to intervene and help reclaim his marital house. Bigirwa says that he has no other place of abode in Kampala and currently living off the streets in the slums of Makindye.
“since the beginning of the year, I have been homeless due to the domestic wrangles. I however call upon my Principal, Bobi Wine to intervene in my situation. It is demeaning to me and my party to have a whole youth leader fighting on TV and seeing my children cry. The party can rescue me from this humiliation”, Bigiriwa cried out.
Bigirwa has remained adamant that whereas he is powerless to evict his wife and refused calls from local security to amicably resolve the issues.
The expectations from Bigirwa’s supporters is that Bobi Wine is in position to financially support his party leaders facing financial stress accrued from the strenuous election campaigns.
Bobi Wine has only recently returned from a two months’ holiday in the United States where he met with a number of party sponsors including Gay rights activists from the Rainbow coalition. He has remained quiet on the issue something that has rubbed many supporters the wrong way.
