The Director of the Criminal Investigations Directorate, AIGP Tom Magambo, has tipped officers from the Rwizi Policing Region on their historical mission towards socio-economic transformation.

On a field visit to Masaka Regional Police Headquarters on May 5, 2023, Magambo said the visit was aimed at enhancing performance and coordination in curbing criminality in the region.

AIGP Magambo advised the officers to understand their roles and historical missions in order to understand why they wear uniforms to work every day. He also reminded them of their main duty, which is to make sure that crime is effectively detected, investigated, and prevented.

“I call upon officers to strive to make our society a better place with a bigger cause of serving the community by doing good investigations,” he said.

AIGP Tom Magambo is currently conducting a familiarization field tour in the Greater Masaka, Rwizi, and Kigezi Regions with the intention of improving performance and coordination in reducing crime.
