Suspected Allied Defence Forces (ADF) rebels have killed two foreign tourists and one Ugandan in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

The Police Spokesperson, Fred Enanga confirmed the incident on October, 17,2023.

“We have registered a cowardly terrorist attack on two foreign tourists and a Ugandan in Queen Elizabeth National Park,” Enanga said.

He said that after killing the three people, the ADF continued and burned the safari vehicle that they had.

Enanga said that the joint forces are aggressively pursuing the suspected ADF rebels.

Recently a group of five armed ADF rebels ambushed a trailer that was carrying onions from Kisoro to the Mpondwe border and burned it to ashes. One person was shot dead and the other was seriously injured.

This incident comes after  President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni announced that the UPDF airstrikes on two targets of the ADF inside the Democratic Republic of the Congo had greatly inflicted disastrous results on the rebels.
