A Letter to Faultfinders of Minister Nyamutoro and Kenzo

Dear Critics/Haters,

I am writing to address the recent surge of negative comments and opinions regarding the marriage between Minister Phiona Nyamutoro and musician, currently the Presidential Advisor on Creative Arts, Eddy Kenzo. While everyone is entitled to their opinions, I believe it’s essential to remind you that their union is a personal choice that deserves respect and celebration.

You ask yourself how a person in his/her right senses can judge that a minister is not supposed to serve juice to an uneducated man! Some of the richest people in the country never went to school, but they sit at tables with professors, and their bank accounts are heavier than those of the so-called educated. Damn, I can proudly say that the person who uttered such absurd words must have had illiterate parents or even grandparents.

Kenzo is a self-made young man who works hard to become better every day. I believe that he is a good husband because of his gentleness and humbleness. No wonder he chose Nyamutoro as his wife because of her humility, love, and kindness, leaving out the “malala” Ugandan girls, who I believe do not welcome people home (the Baganda call it Okwanirizza Abagenyi).

Love knows no boundaries, and the couple’s decision to spend their lives together should be applauded, not criticized. Let us focus on the positivity and joy that their marriage brings, rather than spreading hate and negativity.

Remember, we all have our unique paths and choices. Let us embrace love in all its forms and support the happiness of others.

Yours sincerely,

Sophie Lalonyo
