The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Vice President, Proscovia Salaama Musumba, has slammed the National Unity Platform party, describing it as an empty tin, a propaganda platform and lacking agenda for Uganda.

While appearing on NBS TV during the morning talk back show on Monday, FDC Musumba added that NUP is being driven by hatred and false promises.

“NUP came on a propaganda platform spreading hatred and false promises. Politics is not a wave but philosophy and the use of brains, something that NUP has failed to deliver to Uganda,” Salaama said.

According to Musumba, NUP’s agenda is to live a celebrity lifestyle, rendering it so incapacitated to challenge the NRM party, whose ideological foundations are strongly grounded.

She added that the FDC cannot be politically compared to the NUP party because they are more organized and have more experience politically.

“Whereas our brothers in NUP have nothing to offer without saying President Museveni must go, there is no other issue they can discuss. We have given them all the mandate as the majority in parliament, but what have they achieved for Ugandans?” she said.

Musumba further stated that the FDC’s target is not to become the leading opposition in the country but rather the government that delivers for Ugandans.
