UBTEB Exams Start Tomorrow

The Uganda Business and Technical examinations Board (UBTEB) has set dates for the April-May 2022 TVET examinations series.

Onesmus Oyesigye the Board Executive Secretary says the series will run from 19th April 2022 to 27th May 2022.

The Board has registered a total of 24,700 Candidates from 261examinations centers.

The Board registered a total of 37 candidates with special needs. The special needs cases include; deaf, dyslexia and physical disability.

Oyesigye adds that the Board has accordingly deployed 8 support personnel to assist candidates with special needs.

As part of vigilance, the Board says it has deployed Examinations managers including Reconnoiters, practical examiners among others.

The Board says it conducted other continuous assessment processes like assessment of real life projects for candidates pursuing Higher National Diploma-Technical and Vocational Diploma programmes.

Since the opening of Education and training institution in November 2021, Uganda Business and Technical examinations Board (UBTEB) conducted two phases of examinations for candidates pursuing TVET programmes across the country from 13th December 2021 to 22nd December, 2021 and from 24thJanuary 2022 to 7th February 2022 respectively.

The UBTEB released the results of candidates who sat for examinations in January-February 2022 on 11th April 2022 and says it noted progressive improvements in candidates’ performance.

The Board has appealed to Heads of centers and candidates to adhere and observe Standard Operating Procedures and guidelines on Covid-19 issued by the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education and sports respectively.

Candidates have also been advised to desist from involvement in any form of examinations malpractices.
