The minister of Information Communication, Technology and national guidance Hon Dr. Chris Baryomunsi has warned a section of Ugandans who seem to be enjoying the acts of terrorism in the country by spreading fake news about it.

Addressing the media at the media center in Kampala, Dr Baryomunsi said that by circulating photos and recordings of nasty terror incidents that happened outside Uganda supplement the efforts of suicide bombers by causing more panic, scare and fear in the population.

“We have been able to track those doing so using our expertise and technical capacity through UCC and other agencies and we have instructed the security to arrest the culprits”. He said.

He explained that some people download pictures of accident happenings where people are seen bleeding and then circulate them on social media platforms claiming that that happened in Uganda.

The minister has therefore warned those in the habit of causing panic and fear among people through false photo graphics which have no relationship with the recent bomb blasts to stop it.
