Summarized! 10 resolutions Passed by NRM Mps in the recently Concluded retreat at Kyankwanzi

The long retreat of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) new parliamentarians ended with the adoption 10 resolutions which will be the focus of enforcement for the party in this term.

During the closure of the retreat at Ngoma State lodge in Nakaseke district, the NRM Mps elect  passed  10 resolutions that will be a focus for their term of service.

The resolutions were presnted by Ms Juliet Achayo, the Mp elect of Ngora County  who represented the unison agreement of the rest. They agreed among others to support government communication sector, energy and mineral development.  Another key resolution was the plan to adhere to the programs that were captured in the NRM main manifesto such as health care and the need to push and popularize the Parish Model.

Below are the ten Points.

  1. Ideology and leadership – Appreciate President Museveni’s Visionary, valiant and committed leadership to the Uganda
  2. Economy – Support the vigorous implementation of the national Development Plan( NDP) within the framework of Vision 2040
  3. Works and transport – To support the construction of roads to DR congo as part of the bilateral cooperation and improve inter district roads to facilitate trade.
  4. Energy and minerals- Support promotion and development of alternative energy sources and exploitation and development of the country’s vast natural resources.
  5. The education and Sports Sector- Support growth and implementation of free education.
  6. Communication – Support effective communication of Vision, mission, principles and government achievements and programmes of NRM basing on actual information
  7. NRM Manifestos 2021/2026- to support the implementation of the provisions of the manifesto and mobilize communities in raising household income.
  8. Land Matters
  9.  Health
  10. Parish Model- To support operationalizing of the Parish model as a strategy to attain food security.
