Rwanda Had No Plans to Find Resolution In Kampala Meet.

Another day and yet another failed attempt at brokering peace and finding a lasting solution to the border impasse between Uganda and Rwanda.

This follows the conclusion to talks between emissaries of the two countries in Kampala in which no resolution in form of a joint communique was not forthcoming.

The issues highlighted by Kampala were plain and simple including the infiltration of Security agencies by Rwanda among other clandestine activities.

However, even judging by the composition of the Kigali team, it is clear that they only came as a matter of formality and perhaps pressure from international and development partners.

One of Rwandas key accusations against Uganda is what they called ‘media propaganda’ against Rwanda. Yet ironically, Rwandas own Minister Nduhugire is one of the most vocal people on social media and his comments have often been seen as provocative.

Leaving us were we started. The fact that Rwanda contingent has recommended that the discussion be forwarded to the heads of state for resolution shows that they had no prior intention for the talks to be productive.
